Reader-Friendly PDF Protection (No Plug-ins, No Proprietary Readers)
Unlike other PDF protection technologies, SBE does not make it difficult for legitimate readers to access your PDFs. Authorized readers can view your protected documents using Adobe Reader
V6.0 or higher, just like normal PDFs. There is no need for readers to download any special plug-ins, proprietary readers, viewers or other additional software.

How do I know which level I am in?
Subscription Levels are determined by the number of protected documents you have in your account. If you have more than 1000 documents to protect or if you anticipate more than 7500 readers please reference our
Enterprise Edition page.
When do I get moved up to the next subscription Level?
As outlined above, your Subscription Level is determined by the number of protected documents you have in your account. If you surpass the maximum number of protected documents permitted at that Level, you will be moved (up or down) to the appropriate Level.
Are protected documents interchangeable?
Absolutely! You are in full control of the number of documents you protect and when they expire. Many of our clients distribute and protect time sensitive content. For example:
You are a Level 2 Subscriber and you distribute 45 protected research papers to 1000 readers. These research papers are valid for 90 days. After 90 days you expire (deactivate) these documents. You can then upload 45 additional documents and still remain at Subscription Level 2.
What happens when you expire (deactivate) a protected document?
If you expire (deactivate) a protected document, the document will no longer open for your readers.
